In June 2017 we were invited among other great artists to paint a mural at Karlovasi, a village on the port of Samos island, due to "Karlovasi Festival", curated by Yiannis Kountouris. So, we decided to make one street collaboration.
The spot
We found this amazing double surface of this abandoned building and we understood instantly that it would be great to paint something.
The draft sketch
The idea was simple and kind of symmetric. Each block would have like a character pattern of each of us in different colour but in the middle of every block pattern there's has to include each other's character, like a protagonist. So, we selected Blue colour for the strokes of Barba Dee's block - Red colour on Dreyk the Pirate's block.
The painting process
After a couple of hours working under the hot sun, we went to swim to the sea which was couple of metres away, such an extraordinary experience and what a blessing spot!
